Defcon 19 - Bot Badge

I lead a project to bring a custom designed electronic badge to Defcon 19’s Hardware Hacker Village.

The badge’s creation was largely funded by Facebook’s Security and Compliance Manager.

I was also able to work directly with Texas Instrument and they donated the majority of the components used on the badge.

The intention of the project was to teach security enthusiasts about electronic hardware design through an interactive game played directly on the badge. The badge also incorporated a sub-ghz radio transceiver on it that allowed simple message passing between badges.

I think it was a great success and definitely a fun time.
